Ash Always Makes A Good-Looking Stump

Yep! Ash will make you look good. We have a nice swamp white oak grown up under this one, and it is ready to turn loose for the long-term. The only oaks you can expect to approach the speed of ash are cherrybark and Shumard. You can push cherrybark up to about Indy-Effingham; Shumard up to Iowa. Bur oak is fast, but its acorns are huge.
