Monster Maul Demo

Ever since our recent post showing our log splitter, we have been seeing searches for Monster Mauls in our hit counter. We aim to please, so we broke out our old Sotz Monster Maul for a brief demonstration on black oak that we brought in this weekend. The trick to using a Monster Maul is to LIFT it, not swing it as you would an ax. We used this old maul for nearly thirty years, and there weren't very many chunks that it couldn't handle.

No wonder you don't use it anymore.
Besides the fact that a hydraulic splitter is easier- you don't have to chase the wood over half an acre.

I think the recent searches for the sotz monster maul has been in large part due to the fact that I bought out an old warehouse full of sotz products that I have been selling on craigslist and a year and a half ago had a guy selling the monster mauls on ebay. As far as I know I am the only one with these if your interested you can search for them on craigslist metro detroit. Oh and a little tip for not chasing wood is to split within the confines of a spare tire.
